Third lesson, 13 June

Today's lesson was interesting. Mr Toney taught us about Encoding, Streaming and Codecs. There are a couple of new things that I learnt today. One of it is container formats.There's video date, audio tracks, chapters and subtitle in a container. It is for specific data requirement.

Codecs
There are 2 types of codec which is lossy and lossless. Photos, data or audio use either one of the codecs for different format.

Streaming video

There are different types of file formats. Each of them have their pros and cons. There are two streaming methods:
- downloading
- streaming

Mr Toney also explain about streaming videos servers.

After our lunch, we went to the studio for Chroma Keying session by Mr Harry. We clear some of the stuff in the room so that we have enough space to set up the green screen. After the green screen, lights and camera were set up, we went in this small room to view the talent outside. His name is Matt, if I'm not wrong. Mr Harry use the Tricaster. It can aslo be use to switch cameras during live events. I get to try it (:

Mr Harry and Matt also taught us how to roll the cables correctly. Lastly before we end the session, Mr Harry showed us an Omni light.

After our class, Mr Harry took us to the mall. We went to Target and I bought a cookies and cream poptart. Douglas, Fadli and I also walked around the shopping mall.As I was walking, I walked pass this girl who look exactly like a friend of mine. o.o

Later, Mrs Li came and took us back to Connerstoner. We took our dinner from the fridge and ate it at the pantry.
